The department, which is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, offers a variety of services, including crime prevention, emergency management, key control and safety escorts. Campus police also partner with Atlanta Police Department officers to patrol Georgia State’s downtown campus and respond to emergencies.

The department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. is a credentialing authority whose primary mission is to accredit public safety agencies.

CALEA maintains an access portal which allows for comments, feedback, commendations and other information regarding the agency’s quality of service with regard to candidate agencies seeking initial accreditation or reaccreditation status. The link for the CALEA corporate website is, www.calea.org
