Safety Net

The Student Right to Know and Campus Security Act of 1990 (also known as the Clery Act) is a federal law enacted to provide students, faculty and staff with information to make decisions that affect their personal safety. In accordance with the Clery Act, Georgia State University annually compiles and publishes crime statistics for the campus and surrounding areas in an annual crime report known as the Safety Net. The Safety Net also includes Georgia State University’s policy on drugs and alcohol in accordance with the Drug-Free Schools and Campuses Act.
